Announcements:
Job Search Workshops are held three consecutive days a month to train and
equip newcomers to Canada acquire job search skills that would assist them to look for
employment the Canadian workforce. Please call Charity to register for upcoming workshops
One-For-One Youth Mentoring Program provides our youth with positive role
models to assist them in setting their future goals positively and adopt pro-social
behaviour based on respect for self and others in the community. Referrals are from
schools, other community organizations and parents. Some youth also self refer. Please
call for more information on this worthwhile program.
Citizenship Preparation Classes are held every month to landed
immigrants who need information on how to become Canadian Citizens. There is no fee
charged for these classes. Resourceful information on Canadian citizenship and
participation is also available.
Field Trips and Picnics.
We plan and organize summer field trips and activities for our community members and their
families. Call for more information on 1998 summer activities and field trips and what is
being planned for next summer.
