Community Participation:
Components of this service include community outreach and networking, public education,
advocacy and access, public education, community development and volunteer participation.
Fund Raising/Donations:
Fund raising events are held with help from our various community groups and volunteers.
We receive and acknowledge donations from our community members and different
organizations. Any funding or voluntary financial contributions from individuals or
organizations support our programs and are greatly appreciated.
Membership:
Our membership is open to anybody who is 18 years old and over who shares our objectives
and values. Membership fee is $10.00 for a year for individuals and $15.00 for
organizations.
Volunteer Activities:
Many community members are involved in volunteer work in our agency. Some of our programs
are run on volunteer support alone. Volunteers are therefore a very valued component of
our staff and are greatly appreciated. Volunteer recognition events are held periodically.

Governance:
Our agency is governed by a volunteer board of directors that is representative of the
community. Organizational policies and procedures have been put in place and are available
for perusal in our office.

We have established partnerships, memberships and networking relationships with other
service providers such as:
Multicultural Inter-Agency Group of Peel (MIAG)
Sheridan College
HRDC Youth Opportunity Canada Program
Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI)
Social Planning Council of Peel (SPC)
Peel Committee Against Women Abuse (PCAWA)
Peel Womens Health Network
Peel/Halton/Dufferin Training Board/Visible Minority Reference Group
Peel Police/Community Liaison Committee etc.
