| Heritage Mississauga was founded by a small group of volunteers who rescued the Bradley House from demolition in 1959. In 1960 they joined with the Toronto Township Historical Foundation, the forerunner of the Mississauga Heritage Foundation (Heritage Mississauga). From the Heritage Mississauga office located in the Mississauga Civic Centre, staff and volunteers respond to community requests about heritage in Mississauga. This is complimented by a quarterly newsletter, Heritage News, as well as presentations of historical exhibits, lecture series, educational outreach programs, tours, oral histories and publications. | Heritage Mississauga believes that our heritage is an important element in fostering and maintaining Mississauga's sense of community pride. Together with the support of the community groups, corporations and individuals, Heritage Mississauga will continue to accept the challenge of promoting an awareness of the community's most precious non-renewable resource - its heritage. |
