GUIDELINES FOR FIELD TRIPS

  1. Beginners are always welcome on field trips.

  2. a) Be at the departure point before the time specified with a full gas tank.
    b) On the highway, stay close to the car in front to avoid losing contact with the group.
    c) Go prepared for hazards such as rough terrain, cold, heat, rain, insects, wind, thorns, etc. Keep your distance when following on foot to avoid injury from low branches, etc.
    d) You may leave a field trip wheneveryou wish.
    e) Respect the judgement of the leader regarding the appropriateness of photography.

  3. Field trips are meant for people to come together to share an appreciation for nature. Many naturalists also like to go afield alone. These two activities, unfortunately, cannot be carried out at the same time. Therefore, when on a field trip, remember that the leader is THE LEADER. Please do not go ahead.

WHERE FIELD TRIPS START

CAWTHRA - parking lot for Cawthra Arena on the east side of Cawthra Road at Arbor Road, south of the QEW.
BRONTE - Parking lot (formerly GO Bus) on the east side of Bronte Road just south of the QEW.
